People can easily use their smartphones to get things done today at the corner of their rooms.
As at today, your reputation in the online marketplace says a lot about your brand and your identity.
Your reputation in the online marketplace can make or break your business.
How people most especially prospects perceives who you are in the online community has become reality in the business world.
Network marketers especially needs to be aware of what information exists about them since many prospects would like to work with someone or a leader they can learn from.
In order to keep a flawless reputation online, it is better to play with a proven system that works.
So, in today’s post, we will be looking at 3 proven systems on how you can keep a flawless reputation online.
3 PROVEN SYSTEMS ON HOW YOU CAN KEEP A FLAWLESS REPUTATION ONLINE.
1. SHARE AND DISTRIBUTE A USEFUL CONTENT RELATED TO YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE/NICHE.
This is the reality, not having information to access about who you are and what your offerings are may turn off potential buyers and prospects.
If a prospect search for your name on google, what will show up?
What will show up is simply what you have been promoting!
Now, what will come up, does it satisfies the target audience you are serving?
How do you make this work for you?
Check search engines at least once a month.
To find out what people are saying about you, search for your business on all the major search engines.
Consider setting up an RSS feed or an automatic alert to help track this information.
Google Alerts is a great way to see when your name appears on search engines immediately.
To create an alert, go to the Google Alerts homepage and then type in your name in the “Create an alert about …” box.
You can select if you’d like to receive email alerts as your name appears, once a day, or once a week.
A search of your name or company name that yields few results can be equally damaging as having several negative reviews.
Prospects want to trust what they are buying and the company or the person they are joining.
If you have a website, make sure that you are providing information on your website, social networking sites, and through press releases, so people can easily find content.
Continually providing information will help your online identity grow and will ultimately improve your search engine results.
You can also harness the power of social media to create and share content, and promote yourself as an expert.
Answer questions on Twitter and participate in industry-specific LinkedIn Group discussions.
When you do create content, be sure to share it on these profiles and Facebook.
2. KEEP A FLAWLESS FACEBOOK PRESENCE.
Why should you keep a Facebook flawless presence?
It’s simple, virtually every prospect has a Facebook account and will always come there to check whatever they need to know about you. Period!
So how do you use Facebook to keep a flawless reputation online?
I will give you some tips on how to do that, to start with, your profile picture must look professional.
You must change your profile picture to something professional, this is important.
In the picture, it should be just you, no company logo, no babies, no pets…the profile picture is the picture that appears when someone clicks on your wall, it appears at your homepage.
Make sure that your profile picture of yourself is in alignment with your brand and your message.
Now, once you have your picture set up, I recommend changing it every once in a while, now when you change it, what happens is that it shows on your wall and in other people’s news feed.
Now if you change it properly, I will advice you to always change it regularly once in every three to six months.
When you do this, what happens is that people are going to like your picture and it will create activities and movements on your wall.
I like to use something cool, when you change your profile picture perfectly to something cool or better picture, people are going to react and that will create activity.
Another strategy is this, how often do you get likes and comments? If you are not getting them as expected, try to leverage on Google.
Type on Google, ‘best Facebook quotes, most captivating Facebook quotes 2015, …..etc’ and you will surely get lots of stuffs you can make use of.
Then post them and I can assure you that you will get lots of Consistent likes and comments.
3. BE CONSISTENT AND BE AUTHENTIC.
In all the areas and platforms where you or your company interacts, be consistent.
This also means that you should be yourself; if you try and create an alternate persona, it will eventually crack, and people will be frustrated that you were cold, dismissive, or rude in a different environment.
When you represent your company, make sure that you’re doing so in a way that is reasonable and approachable.
Don’t promote company A today and tomorrow promoting company B, it makes your prospects to see you as an inconsistent fellow and you lose their trust in that way cheaply.
People need to trust in your brand name and the product/service you are promoting.
This also is very important, don’t act to be holier than thou.
Don’t be too perfect, be authentic, showing that you’re not perfect but that you take measurements to correct flaws is a big way to keep business booming.
Real people make mistakes, acknowledge them, and try to move forward — you should operate the same way.
Take control of your reputation.
