Moreover, many network marketers usually become desperate and needy when it seems there is not a constant stream of new leads coming their way, so they begin to nag and beg the leads that they do have.
This is a sure way to not only fail at building relationships with your current leads, but also a great way to frustrate yourself and lose motivation for future prospecting efforts.
You also come across as a person who is not a leader and is not valuable to your potential prospects; and believe me, they can sense the desperation.

Have you noticed this too?
Someone will run from you when I sensed that you are desperate, so people run from people who are desperate. It’s so obvious.
Desperate network marketers will talk to the same few people over and over, bugging them and trying to convince them to join their business or make a purchase.
You don’t need to chase after people, in fact, professional network marketers doesn’t chase people, instead, they attract.
Chasing after people is not the way to build a successful network marketing business.
Spending too much time desperately chasing a few people just doesn’t work.
You need to understand this fact that, there’s abundance of people everywhere.
If it seems like others are not interested in your business. That’s OK!
Always remember this, it is not everyone that will be as excited about your business as you are.
Another thing to do instead of chasing and convincing people is this, sort your prospects.
Like I said earlier on, professional network marketers doesn’t chase after prospects, the sort, sponsor and teach.
Answer this question : Wouldn’t you rather talk to and present your business to 100 people instead of the same few people over and over?

The only thing worse than having no prospects is having angry and annoyed prospects.
Never send mass messages in the hopes you’ll catch a few people who are interested in your business… It does not work that way.
Trust me, I have been there before and I have done that but the fact is, it doesn’t work!
The key to successful recruiting in your business is to make yourself attractive to those that are seeking a successful business as well.
If you are successful at this, you won’t have to worry about finding new prospects because they will be finding you.
If you really want to reach more people, you will need to join the relative social media group niche.
It could be on Facebook, and/or other social media platforms.
Don’t spam people with your links, contribute to whatever they are relating on in the group.
Add value to the group by creating and dropping content that relates to your niche on the group.
If you want people to message you or reach out to you at the end of the post, just add call to action to it.
Another thing you can do is to answer people’s questions relating to your niche in quora.com
When people see that you answer these questions, they’d see you as experts, it is by themselves that they will reach out to you.
Create post that solves people’s problems relating to your niche and share it on your social media handles or groups where you belong.

I would have to rate this as one of the top mistakes many network marketers make.
Listening is one of the essential skills in life generally.
Many network marketers get so ingrained with talking that they forget to stop sometimes and allow the prospect to talk.
And even if they do allow this to happen, the network marketer doesn’t listen and acknowledge the prospect.
Look at it this way, if maybe you are sick and call your doctor that you are sick and without asking anything from you about how you are feeling of taking any hypothesis and the doctor just says that you should go and take Panadol when all you are feeling is dysentery. How will you see this Doctor?
Quack right? Great!
This is how many prospects see some network marketers who don’t take the time to listen to the seeds of discontentment in their prospects before asking them to buy or join their company.
Don’t make this kind of mistake.
I am speaking of active listening.
Tune in to the prospect and hear what they are saying.
In many situations, the prospect will tell you why they do need the opportunity and provide you with an “easy close.”
In the same sense, if you don’t listen and try to close with benefits the prospect has no real interest in, they will realize that you did not hear a word they said and in many cases, will say no.
