In today’s post, I share 3 tips for closing in network marketing.
You may be the best at finding, inviting, and presenting to prospects, but you still need to close them!
This is why closing in network marketing is the most important step in advancing your network marketing business.
When it comes to closing in network marketing, each of us have a style that will fit our personality.
Some can use humor while others are best off using a professional demeanor.
But no matter your style, there are some aspects about closing every network marketer should understand and follow.
These 3 tips for closing in network marketing will help you get a higher percentage of closing your network marketing prospects.
3 TIPS FOR CLOSING IN NETWORK MARKETING
1. PRE-QUALIFY THE PROSPECT IF HE’S INTERESTED IN YOUR NETWORK MARKETING BUSINESS.
I know you want to get every person you meet to join your business, right?
That’s just not possible.
You will save yourself a lot of time with prospects if you make an honest assessment of whether they have a true interest in starting a network marketing business.
For example, I’ve made the mistake in the past of “convincing” people to join my business.
They weren’t that interested!
It was a disaster because they didn’t do anything or contribute to the team in any way.
They had to be prodded and pulled.
You want people who are willing and can see the vision for success!
If you run into someone who is low energy with zero interest, you just saved a lot of time!
You don’t have to explain or send them anything.
It’s a way to sort through people instead of wasting your time trying to close every prospect you run into.
Remember, every person is NOT a qualified prospect for your network marketing business.
2. EXPECT THE BEST AND YOU WILL GET IT
HEAR THIS: Always assume your network marketing prospects will say yes and even at that if they say no, do not attach yourself to the outcome.
This is the mindset!
You are not emotionally attached, but you go into every close as if the answer will be yes.
And even if they say no, you are not attached to the outcome.
By doing so, you will show confidence and optimism.
The prospect will sense the positive aura and will not feel negative energy emitting from you.
This will give them more confidence they are doing the right thing.
Remember that if a person says no, they are not looking down on you as a person.
And per chance they are, they are the ones who are losing out.
There are many reasons a person will say no.
The majority of reasons will have nothing to do with you as a person.
It wouldn’t matter who the person is closing them, they would probably still have the same answer or excuse.
So, when you have this mindset closing in network marketing will seems effortlessly and cool to you because you are not emotionally attached.
3. QUESTIONING IS CLOSING.
Always ask what I have called post-closing questions
What is it?
Before going into the close, you want to ensure the prospect has all their questions answered and you don’t get to know all their questions with statement but you should keep asking them questions… Questioning is closing.
You should keep asking, what else do you need to know? Why did you say that? What do you like about the information, tell me more about what you like etc
You must listen closely to the prospect’s answers.
You want to make sure their questions are completely answered.
In an attempt to close the deal, the conversation you have should be all about questions.
No statements. The more information your prospect gives you, the more you’ll know what they need.
Once they have listed some concerns for you, address them.
Then, get them talking about what they like about the product or business.
Just because they have some concerns doesn’t mean you won’t close the deal.
And when you follow-up with your network marketing prospects, be sure to ask the right questions. This is very important!
For example, here’s a question you should never ask:
What did you think about the video?
Instead, ask this:
What did you like best about the information?
You can also take a great lesson from Eric Worre and ask:
On a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being you have zero interest and 10 being you are ready to get started right now, where are you?
With enough practice, you’ll learn the concerns are typically normal ones we all have when considering a purchase.
