In the part we looked at these 6 things no one tells you about running a network marketing business, and they are:
- 1. You’ll get less respect or be asked when you’re going to get a “real” job.
- 2. You focus on nurturing relationships instead of day-to-day grunt work.
- 3. People will think you have all the time in the world to do them a favor.
- 4. It’s a lonely game
- 5. You’ll face negativity
- 6. You’ll find friends in other network marketers
Perhaps, you are already a network marketing professional.
In today’s post, I want to tell you things no one tells you about running a network marketing business part 2.
In the next training, we will look into the part 3 and then this episode will come to an end.
There’s no doubt that starting a network marketing business has many perks.
You get to be your own boss.
You can work how and when you want.
You set your own fees, essentially earning what you’re worth.
Unfortunately, the idea of running your own business is often much different than the reality.
While you may have freedom, your new role as boss may come with a lot of junk you don’t want – things like longer hours, risk, and financial hardship.
This could be the reason why there’s lots of people who could start a business in a year and the next year many of these people who have quitted also.
But there are things no one tells you about running a network marketing business.
1. Maintain your focus

6 THINGS NO ONE TELLS YOU ABOUT RUNNING A NETWORK MARKETING BUSINESS. Part 2
Success comes with focus and intensity.
You’ll be offered so many opportunities to try this, diversify that and launch over there – but the worst thing a network marketer can do is get distracted from the mission of the business.
Be clear on what you want to achieve and don’t spend too much time on new opportunities before you’re ready to make the most of them.
Keep your company’s raison d’etre at the front of your mind and use that to drive every decision you make about the business.
2. You’ll use more mental energy than at a job.
While jobs do require mental energy, owning a business, in which you’re in charge of every aspect, and your success is dependent on how well you manage it, means you think a lot about your business.
Even when you’re not working, you’re thinking about it.
When you are on your bed, you are thinking about it.
Building a successful network marketing business is more mental than physical.
3. Work isn’t always fun.
Even if you start a network marketing business doing something you love, there are aspects that aren’t fun.
You’ll have days where you don’t like your business.
There will be days you’d question your reasoning for being a network marketer.
There will be days you will want to call I a quit. But don’t, it’s part of the process.

4. You’ll sit more.

Because you don’t have to get up, get dressed, and commute to a job, you’ll move less.
Unless your network marketing business is in landscaping or fitness training, you’ll likely spend a great deal of time at your computer.
This can lead to weight gain and related health issues.
In fact, health experts indicate that sedentary workers don’t need to exercise more, they just need to sit less.
So get up more often.
Another thing you can do is to be involved in a regular keep fit exercise programs.
5. Work and life lines blur.
Having your career in your home means it’s easy to work when you’re off, and be off when you’re supposed to work.
While flexibility can be an advantage of running a home business, if you’re not consciously making decisions about work and off time, you can begin to feel overwhelmed and scattered.
This is where time management can make a big difference in the quality of your work and personal life.
6. It gets harder to go back to a traditional work situation.

6 THINGS NO ONE TELLS YOU ABOUT RUNNING A NETWORK MARKETING BUSINESS. Part 2
Once you get used to having your own schedule and working without a boss, it gets difficult to want to go back to that situation.
Starting your own business may seem like the ultimate way to earn more money while also taking control of your life, but it can be difficult to make it work in the long run.
Starting your own business isn’t all puppies and cupcakes.
Being your own boss does have it perks, but you often pay for those perks with longer hours, more responsibility, and a whole lot of stress.
But, the spoils go to those who work hard and, most importantly, never give up.
So, if you want to start your own business, you should create a feasible business plan and stick with it no matter what.
