In this post, I share how to be more productive working from home
To start with, you need to really define what is it that’s important about you working from home and making money because without that, you’re probably not going to be very consistent.

I know what it takes to succeed. I have generated millions of naira working from home, I have also had my losses and I also know what’s going to get in your way.
There is certainly no shortage of advice when it comes to succeeding in working from home. Type ‘how to improve productivity while working from home’ into Google and there won’t be enough hours in your professional lifetime to read all the advice on the subject, let alone put it into practice but I will share a bit of what works for me with you in this post.
The trick is to work out what works for you. Here are a couple of strategies you can explore:
1. WHAT ARE YOU SELLING?
So, what are you selling? Why should someone buy it?
What problem does it solve? What value does it add? What convenience does it create? What desire does it help to attain and based on those answers, it’s going to tell you what you need to be creating online.
What do you need to be doing because you’re going to be using social media, you’re going to be using the internet, how should you be operating through that? So you have to know what is the solution that you’re selling whatever it is.
Whether it’s consulting, whether it’s physical product that you’re getting made or it’s a cookies, what is it that you’re selling?
Why should someone buy it? What type of person would want to buy it and enter into that realm of knowing your perfect person, knowing that person that you’re wanting to sell your product or service to. I can tell you my main source of customers are the network marketers.
I know them inside and out, I know them upside and down, I know their hang-ups, I know their belief patterns.
I just know them inside and out. I know where they struggle because I really dove into understanding my prospect.
2. WHO BUYS THAT PRODUCT?
Now, you may understand your product or your service but do you really understand who buys that product or service?
Do you really understand who uses it or who should use it? Now, maybe you’re wanting to work from home and make money from home and you don’t have that great idea.
You don’t have anything you could start with, you don’t have any invention, you don’t have any kind of service that you know is miraculous or whatever and I’ve seen some amazing ones by the way.
So what do I suggest if you don’t have that great idea, you don’t have that idea to start with, you don’t have that new invention or new innovation, my suggestion is network marketing and affiliate marketing.
You know I don’t know what you know about network marketing but network marketing, how I define it it’s the lowest risk, lowest overhead way for the average, ordinary person to start a business.

Now I happen to have started a lot of different businesses. I had a fintech business, I had my you know offline businesses and I’ve also been a network marketer.
I know a lot of different things about different types of businesses and here’s what I know affiliate and network marketing is the lowest risk, lowest overhead way one for you to create residual income.
You don’t have to have the great idea, the great invention, the great innovation.
You don’t have to have any of that stuff.
All you have to do is ask other human beings. If they’re open to take a look at what you got. And so this will help you to build your skills.
I know a lot of people that started affiliate and network marketing, went on to grow amazing businesses. You know this is something that if you struggle with what to sell, network marketing solves that for you.
If you struggle with what’s that big idea, network marketing solves that for you and you have an unlimited possibility of making money.

3. PRIORITIZE HEALTHY HABITS

Sydney-based corporate performance coach Kylie Denton says structure and routine is particularly important during times of stress or uncertainty because it gives us a sense of control.
“Many people feel like things are happening to them [at this time], rather than happening with them,” she says.
Denton advises her clients to use the MENS model (Meditation, Exercise, Nutrition and Sleep) to assess their health and wellbeing in four key areas and develop good habits that will form part of their daily routine.
“When we start to focus on these four areas of our life, our motivation and productivity levels will increase, and our outlook will be brighter… you will feel better both mentally and emotionally,” she says.
With a helathy habits, you will be able to get back your motivation. No one’s looking over your shoulder, no one’s having you punch a clock, no one’s asking you like at a typical job hey, did you do that yet? It’s you, champ.
You’re working by yourself and you’re working with no supervision. You can do as little of work as you want or as much as working you want and most people, they default to finding distractions.
There’s no accolades, there’s no employee of the month like you know I’m trying to paint this picture for you very realistically because I have been there.
I had to be self-motivated and so do you.
One of the keys to improve your motivation is to have a healthy habit and you must priotized it. Go here if you don’t know how to prioritize a healthy habit.
4. SOUND THE ALARM WHEN IT IS TIME FOR A BREAK
As a home business owner, you might find it easy to work long hours without taking a break.
Stopping to put another load of washing on doesn’t count as rest, nor does grabbing food from the fridge and taking it back to your desk.
Marathon sessions may feel like a productive experience, but, generally, they’re anything but.
Being burnt out isn’t helpful for anyone. But if you do find it hard to take breaks, try to look at it with a growth mindset.
You’re planning to be successful over the long-term, so you need to work from home sustainably.
To help you get into the habit, set an alarm clock to go off every two hours in the room farthest from your desk.
Use these alarms as opportunities to get up and take a break.
