In today’s post, I share how to expand your prospects list
The ability to prospect is a vital activity to growing a steady flow of prospects in your network marketing business.
Your prospecting messages must reach out to your target audience and moves them through your marketing funnel and then convert them.
Below I share how to expand your prospects list
- Create an ideal prospect profile
There are many different types of people out there.
How do you know where to start?
Take some time to find out what your ideal customer profile looks like and do some research in your own database.
Who are your top five prospects?
Who are your worst five prospects?
Who are your most profitable prospects?
Which ones are the least profitable?
Create profiles for each of these groups.
Don’t assume that just because someone is in your database that they fit your ideal customer profile. Ironically, new studies show that half of your prospects (50%) are not a good fit for what you want to sell.
It’s instrumental to also think in the “problem-solution way”, i.e. identify what pain points your ideal customers may have and how does your product solve them?
Doing this will help you focus on the bigger fish in the sea.
- Identify ways to meet your ideal prospects
Start by analyzing where you met your “best” prospects.
In most cases, your “best” prospects are your most profitable ones. Was it at a trade show or a seminar? Or via a referral? This will help you single out your most “lucrative” places to hang out at.
Now think in terms of industry events or social organizations: what events or activities are your ideal prospects likely to attend or be active in?
Finally, think in terms of their digital presence: what social media channels, newsfeeds and other digital publications are they likely to use or visit?
All this information will help you map out an action plan where to show up and at the right places to meet your potential customers.
- Open a New Warm Market
For those that bugged their family and friends easily,If you have burned out or ruined that relationship because you approached them the wrong way in sharing your business with them, the simple solution is to open a new warm market!
I heard the story of one of the network marketing leaders who recently joined the Million Dollar Club in his company used to be in and out of jail for petty crime (theft) as a youth and was always being kicked out of school.
When he got older, it was impossible for him to get a job because of his background.
So his only chance for a decent career was to do network marketing.
That is one of the beauties of network marketing. It does not discriminate.
Anyone can join and anyone can be successful as long as they have the desire.
According to him. None of the people that he knew would even listen to him because of his background.
So instead he went out and met strangers at the bus stop and developed an entire new warm market. A decade later, he is one of the top income earners in the Philippines and has earned over a $1 million USD in 5 years.
Not bad and he’s just getting started!
