HOW TO FOLLOW UP WITH NETWORK MARKETING PROSPECTS
Suppose you send prospects to your company magazine, or Website to watch a streaming video about your opportunity.
They like what they see and call you to learn more.
But after they’ve heard the complete presentation, some say they’re really not interested.
What do you do then? Move on? Absolutely not!
Do you want to increase your sign up rate?
In this post you will get exactly how to follow up with your network marketing prospect.
Most beginning network marketers have unrealistic expectations. They expect everyone to sign up on the first contact. This is a wrong expectation.
In the “some will, some won’t, so what, next” MLM culture, people hammer on a person once, and if they don’t join right away, they move on and never follow up.
In many cases, they take it a step further by damaging the relationship with the prospect with their attitude. This is wrong.
We are all bombarded with hundreds even if not thousands of both offline and online messages every day, and research stated that, it takes at least seven contacts to make a sale.
Even the hottest leads today may take several contacts. That’s just the nature of the game.
So if someone tells you that they are not interested or that they want to think about it, don’t take it personally. It’s a normal reaction.
Most people I personally sponsor in my team take minimum of 30 to 70 days from the day they first saw the presentation and ten solid follow ups before they join my team.
When people tell you they aren’t interested, it just means they are not ready yet.
They will be ready sooner or later when financial pressure or responsibility fall on them, all it takes is a layoff or a serious illness and they’ll go from ice-cold to white-hot in seconds.
Always remember that the money is in the follow up.
Your job is to plant the seed and be there to pick the fruit when it’s ripe.
If prospects say they aren’t interested, you need to set the stage for future contacts by saying something like this:
“That’s okay. I understand sometimes life gets busy, the timing may not be right for you, but if you ever need to go into a home-based business fast, this is the ideal home-based business for you, (mention the benefits they get by joining your company here). You work right from your own home in your underwear if you want. There’s nothing like it. And I’ll help you every step of the way. So, until that time comes I’ll just keep checking with you from time to time. Will that be OK with you?
If you do it well, 80 to 20 people will say yes.
A short time later, send another message so you can create more relationship.
Call them on the phone asking them about their family, work and life generally. Just keep contacting them in a friendly way.
Give them the opportunity to really think about how this could change their lives.
Before you know it, it is that friendly-persistent example that convinces people to join you in business because people join people and not the company.
Truthfully, they are not joining a company…they are joining you.
They are not buying products—they are buying you.
You are the product. If you prove yourself to them by your friendly persistence, they will be impressed enough to take another look.
Somewhere between the first look and the seventh look, they’ll have no choice but to say yes.
Don’t relent, keep pushing, follow up until you get that YES!
