Learning how to influence people to create a bigger impact us very important to your life and in some cases your business.
One of the best ways to understand influences is to understand that a man with a million dollars without the opportunity to meet or communicate with any other person is not as wealthy as a man with a million loyal people at his service.
Dictionary defines influence as the power to affect somebody’s actions, character or beliefs. Influence is also the ability to produce an effect without using force.
If you have kids you have to learn how to influence their actions.
If you have a job you have to learn how to influence people that work together with you, and your customers.
You must also learn on how to influence the actions of your boss.
If you own your own business you have to learn how to influence your team players each day.
There’s positive and negative ways that we can employ influence and guess which one will get us more of what we want?
Seek to become a positive influence in the life of others and in their success journey, everything good will come.
So how do you increase your Influence so you can make a greater impact?
Being a home business owner, it’s important to hold a high level of positive influence because obviously the more influential you are, the more easy your results can be in making sales and enrolling new members into your business.
Have a positive attitude. In my experience people are turned off pretty quickly by anger, negativity and doom and gloom.
People want to feel good all the time.
I recommend being excited about what you are sharing and trying to be positive.
There certainly is a time for doom and gloom but that time is not always.
In a time of doom and gloom look at the big picture.
Stay positive by having little goals to achieve on a daily or weekly basis.
Life is bad enough an nobody needs a daily commentary, not even the police.
Emphasize the good, forget the rest.
Some entrepreneurs talk themselves out of business and out of favor.
They let their displeasure spill out on others like spoilt milk.
Your prospects, clients and co-workers do not want another killjoy! They’ve had enough!
Be the positive spirit at your workplace.
Be the one downcast run to.
Don’t bring your domestic problems into business.
With a positive attitude, you can influence the people to a greater impact.
Be Charismatic: Brian Tracy calls it charisma, Sharon Voros calls it leadership, and Napoleon Hill calls it showmanship.
Charisma has little to do with the status or competence of an individual.
It has more to do with the perception that others have about the individual.
If you are more charismatic and endeavor to market your brand more effectively, you will rank high more than others in your company as a network marketer.
You will outperform your peers who do not harness this power even though they are more talented and competent than you.
Some things are critical to developing your charisma, please master them and these are; your smile, handshake, eye contact, people’s names and personal grooming.
Lead by example. Few people I know like to hear hypocrisy.
Make sure if you are telling someone to do something that you are doing it as well.
Simply by leading by example, you will be showing that it can be done.
Most people don’t want to be the first; they want to see someone else do it first.
Be that someone else for them.
Be confident and do what you know is right for you.
Follow that feeling deep in your gut and follow it with a great zest for life.
Seek to be interested than being interesting. When you make others feel important, your influence goes a long way.
Everyone wants to be liked, loved and accepted.
When you fulfill that need for others, you are perceived as being influential.
Become genuinely interested in other people.
A great way to do this is to ask them open-ended questions.
Get people talking about themselves and that will help you build rapport.
A person disclosing information about himself or herself will be intrinsically rewarding.
Teach don’t preach. Do your best to just give the options and teach why you think they are a better alternative, rather than just preaching it.
Another thing that influencer do: they teach other people how they should think about one specific topic.
Influencer say things like: “Think about this topic/subject like ….“
Imagine or think yourself as….
Because they interrupt our common view of ourself and teach how to think they have influence in our life.
