HOW TO MOTIVATE STAGNANT NETWORK MARKETING TEAM MEMBER.
Do you have a stagnant network marketing team member that you want to get motivated?
In today’s training, I share exactly how to motivate a stagnant network marketing team member.
Disengaged, unfocused, underperforming and stagnant network marketing team member can sap the life from any network marketing business.
If motivated the right way, network marketing team member can become a greatest asset.
Network marketing team member start to disengage from their activities when their personal interests and goals no longer align with the goals and vision of the network marketing company are promoting.
It’s a critical issue for many network marketing teams and one that’s often overlooked.
There are plenty of ways to make your stagnant network marketing team member feel more motivated by their work, and many of these tactics can easily be incorporated into your day-to-day operations which includes;
1. INVITE THE STAGNANT NETWORK MARKETING TEAM MEMBER TO JOIN YOU AT AN EVENT.
Purchase a ticket in their name and personally invite them to hang out with you for the day.
I know of some leaders who regularly do this and purchase tickets for the entire team, preplanning the outing and shutting down the department, office, shop for the day if appropriate.
This idea often begins to show ROI immediately as the person will undoubtedly be grateful, even excited, and will want to ensure you’ve made a great decision.
Provide them with any supplemental information about the event so they can do some research and be aware of what to expect.
Take the invitation one step further by inviting them to travel to the event with you.
This includes a local event; this will alleviate any concern stagnant network marketing team member may have about locating you inside the venue.
Once inside, be sure to introduce them to people within your network, have lunch with them, and ask them their thoughts throughout the event. Notice if they are taking notes.
Notice which speaker or which segment seemed to get them really excited.
Treating the stagnant network marketing team member as your personal guest for the day will give you both an opportunity to connect on a whole new level.
2. ASK FOR INPUT.
Actively seek feedback from the stagnant network marketing team member.
Maintain an open door policy, and an open mind, so that it’s easy for him to approach you.
Some network marketing team members, in particular, may be uncomfortable sharing their thoughts without a gentle nudge.
Reach out to them directly to ensure their ideas are heard.
3. OFFER TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES.
Ask your stagnant network marketing team member what skill gaps they feel that if narrowed they would be able to excel and reach their success goals sooner.
Once you are aware of their needs, set about to find the solution.
You can do this yourself, or task any network marketing team member to do the search including sharing any boundaries with them for cost, or time constraints.
By actively listening to their needs and acknowledging their desire to grow you can also provide feedback on their performance.
Often times the network marketing team member themselves have already done some research and will share some options with you.
Flexibility and progressive learning tools are very ample now and in most cases reasonably priced.
If the skill in need is something that multiple network marketing team members would benefit from, suggest a discount price, or package deal.
You may very well be perfect person to provide the training whether in a one to one setting or group session.
This is a great opportunity to serve your team and share your knowledge, stories, failures, experiences with them, while building your working relationships.
The watch-out here is to remember that this is an exercise in sharing, and give-back, not for any self serving or braggadocios intent.
4. RUN A TEAM CONTEST THAT WORKS FOR EVERYONE
Team contests and incentives are a great way to keep your stagnant network marketing team members in action.
If you’re not already doing team contests, you’ll want to start because they work really well.
With this type of contest everyone is going to run to participate because it’s designed to get everyone engaged and motivated.
You will now take your time to guide the stagnant network marketing team member specially on what he needs to do.
Doing this will get him motivated.
5. BE LIBERAL WITH PRAISE OFTEN
Simple but heartfelt thanks will make any stagnant network marketing team member feel like his or her work matters.
In fact, support staff said they value an in-person thank-you even more than a promotion or paid time off as a reward for a job well done.
Everyone is motivated by accolades.
So, be liberal with thanks.
6. FEED THEM AND THEY WILL COME
Need to pool brain power to solve a problem?
Are you wanting to host a strategic planning sessions or annual action planning session?
Do you have some information that needs to be rolled out to a large group?
Need a survey answered, need a large cleaning, or renovation, packing/shipping, moving/re-organizing, systems overhaul, or inventory management done?
Share that your looking for assistance, what the work involves and also share that you’ll provide food.
Be clear on what kind of food you’ll be sharing.
Light beverages and Snacks does not equate to bottles of water and a bag of pretzels.
Put some thought into it and serve up something unique that they normally would not have.
Keep the ideas flowing by serving up food throughout the long, tedious meeting or tasks.
Your team will appreciate this gesture and may reciprocate by bringing in home made items, or specialty recipes the next time.
