Many network marketers are afraid to talk to others about their business because they don’t want to come across as being pushy.
But as a network marketer, you need to know that offering your opportunity to someone is simply that, offering them information and the choice for them to decide whether it’s right for them or not.
There are some network marketers who are pushy and aggressive and present their opportunity in a way that comes across as aggressive and rude.
But this doesn’t have to be you, isn’t it so?
You can learn how to share your opportunity and recruit more in network marketing without being pushy.
In this training, I share how to recruit more in network marketing without being pushy
1. ASK GOOD QUESTIONS.
This is the most critical and important fact to be noted since it gets the focus off of you and onto your prospects.
Here are some questions I ask when I’m actively engaging a prospect.
So what made you decide to talk to me today?
Is there a specific challenge or circumstance you’re facing right now?
What have you done to address this situation prior to our discussion?
What were the results of those action(s)?
How long have you had this problem?
What made you decide to solve this now?
What are the likely consequences if the problem remains unsolved?
What objectives are you aiming to achieve by solving this pain?
When would you like to have this problem solved?
How important is solving this problem to you?
Where does this stack up in terms of priority and urgency?
How do you see your needs changing as you grow?
What are your long-term goals?
What could stop us from working together?
How do you measure success?
Based on what we’ve discussed, do you think our solution is a good fit for your needs? Why?
What are all the steps we have to take to help make this deal happen?
Are there any obstacles that could prevent this deal from happening?
When is the best date and time to schedule our next meeting?
Notice these questions are focused on understanding their situation and getting a feel for how you might be able to help.
This is in stark contrast to the traditional sales approach where people just launch right into their pitch.
I don’t like that, and I’m guessing you don’t either.
Which is why asking good questions is a great first step for getting the ball rolling.
2. RUN WITH PASSION.
Be passionate about sharing your business opportunity and about believing in the opportunity that’s available for someone to create their own amazing business and life.
You might not even yet be as successful or where you want to be at in the business.
It doesn’t mean someone else can’t come in and be super successful, too.
You might be the door, you might be the entry way for somebody else that’s looking and just desperately need this type of opportunity in their life.
You could be the person that gives them that gift and that chance.
Even if they come in and they’re more successful than you.
You need to believe that this opportunity can and will make a difference in the lives of others.
You need to also believe in yourself, in your dreams, in your goals, in your ability to be successful.
Your ability to learn, and grow, and become a team leader.
Maybe you’re new, maybe you don’t have any recruits, maybe you haven’t been as successful as you want to be, maybe you don’t know everything yet.
Guess what? Nobody ever knows everything in this business.
We’re all still learning as we go and there’s no pinnacle to reach. I
t’s a continued journey, so you don’t need to have been in the business for a certain amount of time, know a certain amount of answers, or have a certain amount of success to be able to recruit.
You only need to keep learning, trying and believing in your ability to figure things out as you go.
People are drawn to passionate people.
They want to be part of something that is exciting and that’s bigger than themselves.
Your vibe attracts your tribe.
People are going to be caught up in that excitement, that energy, and your belief, and your passion, what you’re building, what you’re enjoying, and the team that you have, and that whole environment.
Be very careful how you present yourself, what you put out there, and in the way that you share and promote your business.
Make sure you’re letting that passion & authenticity shine so that people are attracted to it.
Get excited, get passionate about the opportunity you have to change the lives of others.
Your life is going to change to the proportion of the lives that you change.
You are always going to be able to be rewarded so much more by helping other people.
3. MAKE A CLEAR, FIRM OFFER.
This is my favorite part, because most people think that recruit without being pushy approach is simply about educating and waiting for prospects to fall in their laps, and that is absolutely not the case.
The approach involves an education component, yes, but it also involves asking for the business – what I call making a clear, firm offer.
Here’s what I personally say in our teach to the beach training program:
“Well AOC, it sounds like you’ve definitely been heading in the right direction the past few months in terms of growing your business, but as we discussed, it also sounds like there are a few areas where you still might be stuck.
“To be honest, I’m thinking you might get a lot of value out of doing some work together. I think some one-on-one sessions might be best, covering the areas of building a word-of-mouth practice and building an online following of raving fans.
“We’ll do these through a series of 60-minute sessions where I’ll walk you through the entire process. Typically this is a 90-day commitment, and in terms of investment, we’re looking at #X.
“Now I’m not sure if this is something that would work for your budget or if you feel like it would be of value, but based on what you’ve told me, I definitely think it would help. So, does that sound like it might work for you or your budget?”
Quick, easy and very effective with people who are genuinely interested in solving a problem and who feel heard by a professional network marketer like yourself.
So there you have it: a quick, easy-to-implement process to recruit more prospects without being pushy.
