In today’s training, I’d be teaching on some network marketing tips around how to revive the dead network marketing team – what to do when your network marketing team is dead, stagnate, not moving and whatever you want to call it!
Many network marketers wonder why their network marketing team is dead. They wonder why this is happening. They start looking at possible reasons.
- • It is the network marketing company I joined
- • The products are too high priced
- • There is too much competition
- • My team members are all negative and there are much more reasons.
While these all may be possibilities, I would say that the most common problem if your network marketing team is dead or not moving is looking at you in the mirror.
The problem is you
If your network marketing team is dead, listed below are ways of how to revive a dead network marketing team.
1. The first approach to reviving the dead network marketing team is to INSPIRE THEM.
What are you doing to achieve network marketing success on a consistent and ongoing basis?
How many people have you personally shown your company presentation?
How many new prospects have you brought into your sales pipeline?
If some of your answers are in the negative or very low numbers, therein lies some of the issue.
Your team will do what you do, and if that is not much — well, there you go…
Inspire your team through your doing and your activity. Show them what you can do and set the example.
Inspire them with your action.
That’s what nobody wants to hear. No one wants to hear that stuff, because that’s the hard work.
Inspire them with your work, with what you’re doing.
You can motivate and send out cool videos, post great sounding quotes, attend every event, etc., yet this will only go so far if you are not actually doing the work – eg., prospecting, recruiting, acquiring customers and building.
Motivation can only go so far, especially in reviving a “dead team.” In that situation it’s nearly impossible.
So inspire them with your actions not with your words, go do the work you wish they were doing.
2. LEARN ABOUT AND USE THE PRODUCTS.
Remember that I said that your team members will do what you do.
So to start, you need to learn all you can about the products or services offered by your network marketing company. You need to use the products.
As your team members are seeing you learning about, and using the products, they will do the same.
They will duplicate. And when a person has a question about the product, both you and your team members will be able to provide an answer.
3. HAVE GOOD CULTURE
We want to learn from Ray Higdon on having a good culture in network marketing.
A lot of people talk culture, culture, culture, culture. But most network marketers don’t know what culture is.
We define culture as:
How someone is made to feel regardless of their level of desire or level of result.
Many leaders, say things like, “I don’t got a team. My team sucks. They ain’t doing anything. How do I motivate these losers?”
They say these things, hopefully not in front of them, although I’ve seen that too, and it just makes me cringe.
Crazy, but I’m here to tell you, they feel that. They feel it.
If someone is disappointed in you, they don’t have to voice it. You feel it.
Love them for being there. Love them for being a customer. Love them for being on auto ship. Love them regardless of their level of desire or level of results.
What’s Your Job?
What’s the job of a network marketer?
If I asked you guys that, some would say, “Inspire. That’s my job. That’s all I do.”
That’s NOT it.
What is your job?
To bring in customers and to bring in reps. That’s your job.
Your job is to see if someone is open to your product, service, or opportunity, period. That’s your job.
That’s the work. Everything else can support the work. Everything else can be great and beneficial to the work, but nothing replaces the work.
Do the work.
HOW TO REVIVE A DEAD NETWORK MARKETING TEAM
4. FIND A STRATEGY THAT IS PROVEN
You could try to develop a strategy yourself, but that can be time consuming and costly.
It is much better to find a strategy that is already in use. It does not have to be a strategy from someone who is also in your MLM company.
If you are an Oriflame distributor and you discover a strategy being used by a Neolife distributor that works, why not use it?
There is nothing wrong with using a strategy developed from a competitor or separate company as long as the strategy is withing the guidelines of the network marketing company you are attached with.
Again, start teaching your team members the strategy and watch your network marketing team duplication come alive.
Make sure the strategy is able to be repeated and is simple
First off, you need to use the strategy in the same exact way that you will teach it to your team members.
It has to be simple enough that your team members can easily teach it to their team members.
Your strategy may not be perfect and improvements can be made as time passes.
As a matter of fact, that is a way you can empower your team members.
Be upfront with them and tell them the system works for another network marketing company.
Tell them you would appreciate any of their ideas in improving the strategy.
By doing this, you will find your team members having fun and duplication will come easy.
5. SHARE THE STRATEGY
So should you hide the strategy and just keep it to yourself and your team?
You learned the basic strategy from elsewhere and you will do yourself good by sharing it so network marketers everywhere can learn the strategy.
You may even be able to profit from the strategy.
This will give you a solid reputation and your network marketing team will be invisible.
They will know that they have a leader of leaders and you will see duplication upon duplication.
That is how network marketers become millionaires.
They don’t just have teams, they have created kingdoms all because of duplication.
You will attract team members
By following the processes above, you will attract recruits.
You will discover that you do not even have to share the opportunity anymore because people will be attracted and asking you to join the opportunity.
And your team members will have the same things happen to them.
Because they duplicated your strategy, they will attract followers.
