NETWORK MARKETING TECHNIQUES TO FOLLOWING UP WITH YOUR PROSPECTS. Scripts included
Every top earner knows that “the fortune is in the follow up.”

In Network Marketing, MOST people will NOT sign up with you after only one conversation.

It takes like between 4 and 7 “exposures” before someone will sign up with you.
By “exposure” I mean a presentation, a book, a video, a follow up call, a connect call with your upline, another follow up call, etc. If you aren’t following up with people, you are leaving money on the table.
The follow-up process can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks and in some cases, you can go for months or even years building friendship and the dream, until the time comes for them to join you.
You should be very clear that your prospects are not really focused on the fancy products or the smooth compensation plan; what they want is a solution to their problems.
This is what you need to target when doing the follow-up’s.
At the end of the day, compensation plan is essentially a vehicle the person will use to solve some of their existing problems.
When selling a business model some network marketers assume that what prospects want is simply because they can make extra money.
While the cash might be a good incentive, it is also important to make the solution client -specific.

Find out what that extra money could do for the prospect, and you have a decent angle to work from.
The rapport stage is simple enough because people love to talk about themselves but at some point you will have to steer the conversation to the direction you want.
Start by building a friendship with the prospect.
Do this by taking a sincere interest in their dreams, their goals, and their daily life.
The stronger the friendship, the stronger the trust and respect you will have for each other.
Build them a dream. Dreams inspire people and stimulate action and find out what their dreams are and what their immediate goals are.
Train them because information is very powerful and intelligent decisions are not made in a vacuum.
Always use these to follow up on invitation scripts, as described in Eric Worre’s Go Pro book.
Here’s an email script to send the link they said they want: (could be shorter in a text)
“Charlie, it was a pleasure speaking with you. I’d love to help you get the additional income that you need to live the life that you and your loved ones deserve, and get paid what you’re worth. Here is the link you asked for: ______________
As promised, I’ll touch base with you tomorrow around 7:00 PM. I have a limited number of people I can work with at this time, and far more applicants than spaces. I hope to give you the chance to be one of them.
Sincerely, AOC.
P.S. “If I wouldn’t have gotten started in this company 5 years ago my life wouldn’t have changed a whole lot, but I’m so happy and grateful I made the right decision because now my life and my family’s life will never ever be the same. I hope you make the right decision.” – Mr AOC NGN15,000,000 annual earner in (your company). (former AC repairman)
When you talk the next day:
“The reason I’m calling you is to ask if you had a chance to review the information I gave you?”
If they forgot about that, chances are they are not remotely interested in what you’re selling.
It’s one of the processes people use to sort out the masses.
If, however they made time to read the material, then you can move on to the next.
One of the concepts behind successful follow-ups is to make sure the prospect thinks about the positive aspects of the business opportunity, whether those positive aspects are accurate or of their own interpretation.
What to expect from the follow up process
Ideally, you want to get back with that person or couple as soon as possible, preferably within a few days, while the idea is still fresh on their minds.
You also don’t want them to talk to the wrong people and get some negative feedback about the industry.
It would be harder to get them past this if the feedback came from close friends or family.
Alternate script: After saying “Hello Mrs. Juliet, have you had a chance to watch the link I sent? … What did you like best? … ” Ray Higdon then says, “Sounds to me like you are ready to join.” If they have questions, you can say, “That is a great question, and I can tell you are serious.” Then schedule a 3-way call.
Here’s a script for when you call back at the agreed upon time, and there is no answer:
“Hello Mrs. Angel, this is Mr. AOC, calling at 9 am today as promised. Have you had a chance to watch the link I sent? I think you’ll LOVE it! If I don’t hear back from you, I’ll call you tomorrow at 9 am. So you can… (reach the goals you told me about). Have a great day!”
Next day: “Hi Mrs. Angel, this is AOC. I hope all is OK with you. Please give me a call when you get a chance. And if this is something you are not interested in, please let me know, as we both value our time. But I would hate for you to miss out on something you might love, because I really want to help you get what you said you want.” I would then text them the same message.
48 hours later: “Hi, this is AOC, Mrs. Angel. I haven’t heard from you, so I’ll remove you from my list. I will not be calling you again on this, and I wish you all the best for your future.” (You will get a call back this time from the interested people.)
Here’s a script for if they watch a tool you send, and then say, “I’m not interested.”
“I respect that, Mrs. Lobe. I’m just curious, may I ask, what about what you saw led you to believe it’s not a good fit for you?”
This may open the door to discussion of something that can be solved for them.
When that has gone as far as it can, and they still say no (for now) ask for a referral, “Who do you know…”
Don’t forget this: Every communication should mention their goals, their Why! So you can help them keep their focus on what they want, and how to get it!
