WHAT TO SAY WHEN THEY DON’T HAVE THE TIME.
When I would prospect someone and they would say, “Charlie, I’m just so busy, and I just don’t have the time.”
Exactly what I would say is what we will look at in today’s post.
Objections are great opportunity for you to create a lasting impression and relationships with your prospect.
And that’s if only you could listen to them by hearing and understanding their feelings, thereby giving them a chance to open up to you.
In fact, your job as a network marketer is to be a consultant and not a salesman.
You get paid to listen through objections by asking them questions.
See objections as the real opportunity.
Dr. Joe Rubino says, “If no one had any objections, then everyone with whom you shared your business would enroll. You would quickly have everyone in the business and that opportunity would be over!”
One of the most common objections you will hear in network marketing recruiting is that, your prospects will say, they don’t have the time to build a business.
But you and I know, that most times, this is just an excuse and not any objection.
And this is why you need to listen, listen and listen by asking questions.
It may take some time before you master it but the more you practice, the easier and more fun it gets.
There was a time I wanted to recruit one guy.
I wanted to recruit this guy and he said, “I have no time to do your business!”
I am aware already that his plate is full, no time for fun and has long working hours and I don’t have a business opportunity that creates JOB rather a means to getting financial freedom lifestyle.
Since what he said is in the classic ‘No time’ objection.
Immediately, I replied with, “It sounds like you really don’t have any time even to do little things. You probably may not even have the time to read newspaper or watch the weather forecast on TV do you? Do you have anytime for yourself?”
What I did there was to connect him with his emotion, to remind him of what he will like to do each day which means I honor his values and not oppose or fight with his objections.
At the end of it, I registered him and he’s doing well today.
Can I encourage you to hunt for people who have no time?
This is because the busiest people are the best people to approach about your network marketing business.
All the time, always.
When your prospect says he doesn’t have the time.
First of all, remember that your only job in network marketing is to find open people.
If you have to convince someone to simply have a normal business discussion about improving their financial situation you’re wasting your time.
If they say they have no time, you can simply say something like,
“Sounds like you have no interest in making more money or changing your life, no worries. I’ll take you off my list and I won’t contact you about it again. I wish you the best at all you may try. If I’m wrong, let’s schedule a phone chat.”
Take it away and move on!
They’ll either leave it at that (meaning they weren’t ever serious to begin with) or they’ll say something like, “No, I want to know about it…my apologies…here’s my number.”
Take the correct posture with your prospects and you’ll convert more people.
Be professional but firm.
Your job is to find the interested person who will agree to a legitimate business call.
That’s the way to go.
